If you don't follow AMA's posted NOTAMs, please be advised if you live in Washington State.

There is a NOTAM starting Jan. 29 through March 14 in accordance to the Winter Olympics.

There's no joking with the NOTAMs. When Obama visited Raleigh, NC, recently, there was a huge area of no flying that extended well beyond our RX/TX ranges.

For those of you who are wondering what all these letters mean
FDC is the National Flight Data Center.
NOTAM is a Notice to Airmen.
TFR is a Temporary Flight Restriction.

Running up to the Presidental Election we had a couple TFR's here in MN when President Obama flew in. As a matter of fact, on one of our Fly-Ins a couple gentlemen showed up to fly with us as their site had been shut down.

In addition to these heightned security or acute airspace controls with the explosion of the R/C Aircraft Hobby and a lean towards bigger aircraft I see a general tightening coming. AMA guidelines and rules I feel are going to start showing up in City Ordinances.
