went to air field at 11:00 am
Left air field at 4:30 pm
Flew with a trainer on buddy box 3 charge packs 3 different times.
No crashes..wahoo
15 to 20 min flights.
lost power batt dead the trainer did a great job landing he loved it.
Apprentice 15e maiden flight. wind 6 mph
It flew awesome..

flew today at grass airfield in between rain showers. 3-21-2010
Flew the apprentice in a figure eight pattern and fly over landing strip and keeping plane straight. Did a loop using trainer buddy box
2nd day flight on the books.
1st ..Time flown 25 min apprentice. With Hyperion 4000 mah Batt.
2nd.. time flown stock batt 15min learning throttle control.

1st time flown 15 min ..watched trainer maiden and trim Trojan T28D and set trims with DX-7 WOW what a Improvement.
winds 5 to 12 mph cross field gust.

Looking good Liquid1, learning with a trainer and buddy box is so stress-FREE you can't help but learn. All my students have been amazed how seamless the training system really is. GLAD you are starting to get the feel for your Apprentice, she will treat you well for hundreds of flights.

practiced dead stick gliding
awesome day learned alot about the apprentice
flew figure eights,right and left patterns and low run way glides
used the buddy box Dx5e from the Dx-7 used low and high rates.

started at 8:00am and flew 2 15 minute runs..did a few loops
flew 2 more 20 minute runs did alot of dead stick free falls glided
over the runway and flew a few figure 8 and stright lines.
flew 4 times total from 8 am till 12 noon winds 10 to 15 mph overcast
It want be long till I go Solo..Still being patient.and having fun.:clapping:

Wahoo!! I landed the apprentice still hooked to a buddy box but instructor
give the rains..I have a looong ways to go But enjoying every minute!!
WOW I was nervous.
1st a tempt smooth did good
2nd a temp planted the plane to solid
3rd try a little shakey did a fly over then re tried landed ok
Did several loops rolls fly overs
12:30pm till 4:00pm
went trough 4 battery sessions
I'm getting better at smoothing out the sticks but need to relax ..:laughing:

winds calm to 8mph or so with cross winds constantly changed
1st flight aprentice 15E 4000 mah batt, Great flight practiced fly overs loops
rolls, glides. flight time 20 min..
2nd flight apprentice 15E 3300 mah batt, practiced smoothness stick controls
figure eights split S and Immelman turns which is taking me a bit to get and do right..::yell::
3rd flight apprentice 15E 4000mah batt, Practiced flight controls rolls,slow turns rolls loops..Landings or more like plane ground bombings..::yell::
gotta learn to settle down and relax.
4th flight T28D I maiden my 1st flight with a trainer and Buddy Box Flew around a a bit did figure eights, Loops,Rolls, Slow fly overs,split s,Immelman turns, found the T28D is a real hoot to fly, Phantomphan did a great job with trims. Plane is more Docile than I expected Flies great Had a Great Day and soon will be going SOLO..:clapping:..:thumbsup:..Thanks to a great trainer plane the aprentice 15E and awesome pilot Trainer aka Phantomphan..::cheerful::

Well lets start with me doing an Accidental solo flight on july 4th, I took my
T28D out to the back yard and was practicing take offs, hops landings and ooops yep up she went Knowing I have limited space and Now My daughter comming out to see what I was doing I broke out in a sweat and starting thinking of landing my Plane in 1 peice..I did but in a tree ::yell::..Just needed to get that outa the way..I missed my yard by 2 feet the plane came out ok..
ok back to the flight log..
july 5th airfield ,10:00 am took the T28D up with buddy box took off and landed ok 3 times almost bombed a few times.flight times 40 min or so 3 diff times. the last filight I bombed and nosed dived messed my nose gear up..
Around 1 ish we flw the apprentice I took off and landed a few times then bombed the landings..landed to hard a few times 3 or more flights over an hour at diff flights..wow the 4000mah pack is the energizer bunny 20 min.
did rolls loops climbs still shakey on landings and learning all the tricks..Thanks to phantomfan's patients and top gun training I'm learning the correct aproaches and landings. we had cross winds and wind gust above 6 mph it was dicey. james let me bring in the planes and I did take offs hands off from the buddy box but was there just in case..I;m on the verge of going solo Being cautious..gotta practice practice landings..:thumbsup:

30 min zooming around the back yard crashed a few times flew slow
spent time learning plane.
msr micro heli, hovered around inside the house for 30 min or so re-charged 4 Batts over and over. Good day of flight!!:clapping:

8-24-10 Saturday..My dads Farm.. Me and Phantomphan
Aircraft apprentice 15E
Batts 3000mah and 4000mah
Flight times ..Flew from 10:00 ish am to around 2:30 ish pm.
Practiced landings take offs and flying between trees and smoothing out my thumbe.
Great day it was 100 Degrees so Hot my Batts were getting hot.

Yep Its a hoot. I just setup my micro pz51 on low rates hoping I'll be able to slow it down a bit for the back yard.
The apprentice is a great plane and a good work horse just mount a camera and go..
Landing are kicking my butt a bit with the floating on the apprentice its fun to watch the plane want to over shoot the runway..

Flew around for 30 mins went trough 3 batts
Took off from wood chip base hovered flew circles, back and forth nose to tail tail to nose. Practicing left stick
and Throttle control.
Love this little heli

Flew out 4 Packs 2 4,000mah and 2 3,200 mah packs, New Motor test runs..Sweeeeet.
Wahoo I Flew solo took off and landed with out being on the trainer box. Winds were shifty
Nice Day flying, also flew 1 batt pack out of the T28D.. Did a few tricks with both planes working on Better
stick controls..Wahoo..This is a blast.
Almost forgot..Also flew the Micro p51 this thing is a handful..
Thanks to phantomfan for figuring out the trims I was about to give up on this little bugger.
I got to see his F18 prop bird..WOW Smooth and Fast Scale Fighter !!
