Gentleman at my Air Field just began using these in his Pulse with a Power 25. This was his first use of these batteries and I was impressed. I have read the H model is better quality than the Flight Max or Max Flight also by Zippy. The price isn't bad if it's a battery that holds up.
I also noted the 2C charge rate...? I thought it was a RULE to NEVER NEVER charge LIPOs above 1C? Do you know more about this higher charge rate, is it an advancing of the technology of these batteries or is this standard and the 1C rating is more of a be safe rather than sorry sort of thing.

Some of the newer lipos can be balanced charged at 5c!! Always check the label. I never go over 1.5c charge even with a balancer but thats my personal preference. I have Flightmax 20c 3s 200's tha twork very well in the PZ T-28, Corsair and Blade 400 (on the balde you get 4 minutes of hovering and then she comes down).

Your apprentice lipo can charge at 3.
You meant 3.2 Amps right?
ATIS was referring to 5C. If you charge your Apprentice batteries at 3.2A, as I do, then you are charging at 1C. If you charge them at 3C it would be 9.6A, I think she's gonna blow dude.
ATIS that is amazing though LIPOs at 5C, WOWWY. Any examples you can give links to? Expensive as unobtanium?

I believe the new 40C Thunder Powers state you can charge them at 5c if using a balancing charger. EVO's 25c can be charged at 2c with a balancing charger and the TP 30c 3s 2200's can be charged at 3c if on a balancing charger (just checked my new one I bought today).
The new Hyperion VX 35c lipos can be charged at 5C (www.ejf.com (http://www.ejf.com)) or (www.allerc.com (http://www.allerc.com)) carry them. I have never used them but might pick up a 3s 2600 for the PT-17 to see if I can get better vertical out of her with the camera mounted.

So far I have been satisifed with the Rhino 2150mAh 4S batteries I purchased from HobbyKing. They are only 20C rated and although I am pushing near exactly that at WOT they do not get too hot and so far recharging has been a non-event.
I would note however they do not always balance as perfectly as my E-Flite or Tenergy batteries, usually one out of the 4 cells is .01V-.02V lower than the other three after a full-balance charge process.
The power output feels consistent and right up close to LVC they pull real good so they're holding their voltage relatively well. Flight time in my Power15 motored T-28D is about 9-10 minutes mixed flight with a couple 15 second WOT bursts straight to the heavens. This motor draws up to 42A/525W with the prop it's coupled to so this flight time is good enough.
At $18.99ea. I had to try them. This being my first exposure to not one of the BIG GOTTA HAVE batteries I am satisfied and will reorder. Long term I will report back, ~9-10 cycles on all 4 I ordered now.
BTW I was impressed with HobbyKing's price and service, I ordered Sunday received Thursday, not bad I thought.

I bought my Turnigy batteries from hobbycity as well (2200 mAh 25C 3S) and so far I am quite pleased with them. Lots of guys at my field fly Turnigys and Rhinos and they are happy with them.
My experience with the hobbycity EC3 connectors was a different story. I had no luck with them. First off they were too small for the 12 gauge battery wire to fit. I had to try to pull strands back to make it small enough to fit. Secondly I had no luck getting them into the EC3 blue connector housing. I was putting a LOT of force on them with no luck.
Then I went and got some genuine Horizon Hobby EC3 connectors and they soldered on really easy. I stripped maybe a 1/4 inch off the wire, tinned it, heated and tinned the gold bullet and popped the wire in. Then I put the connector into the the blue housing and using a screwdriver with only moderate force it seated itself in the connector, just like in the video on their web site.
As everybody will caution, only put female connectors on batteries since they are less likely to short out. Only solder one connector at a time to ensure they don't short out.
