I have been getting alot of PM's about custom Avatars. Custom Avatars must be 80x80 pixels and 19k or smaller to be up loaded. If you set your Avatar up to meet these requirements you should be able to load your own from the UserCP screen.

If you expereince any problems please post the problem here and attach the picture you want to use, being sure its 80x80 and 19k or less in size and one of the Admins will install it for you. Obviously we are a family orientated site so comon sense applies so plus no nudity (above PG-13, WWII Nose Art is exempt)

Well I'm usually pretty computer literate, but when I go to User CP -> Edit Avatar, I can't for the life of me find an option to upload or link to a custom avatar.

under all the regular avatars it has a "use custom avatar"...select it then you can either enter the webb address or upload from your computer.

All I see on my computer under the regular avatars are the buttons for Save Changes and Reset Fields. Maybe your CP looks different because of your admin level or something.

I have the same issue, nothing on my CP that says select custom avatar.:

ok, I will check all the setting again when I get home...for now just post your picture and I will add it as your avatar but please make sure they are 80x80pixels and under 19k so I dont have to resize them all (or wayne or travis will, depending which of us get to it first).

Yeap, I've noticed the same but never brought it up. Thanks ATIS and crew for checking on it.

ok, I "THINK" I have fixed the issue... I am not a computer guy so if you're still having issues let me know but I think I figured it out.

Please use common sense in whats picts are appropriate, NO html links, if your a vendor please disclose that up front (let one of the admins know so we can give you a custom title). We had the custom avatar turned off to prevent problems but for the most part we have significantly reduced our spam problem so we wanted to open the forum up a little to give you all the ability to make you more you and less "program generic".

As always, if you have any problems, find any bugs, or have suggestions please post them in the forum support forum and we will be happy to address them.

Yup, you got it! The custom avatar section is now visible. :clapping:

Don't feel bad, I've been a "computer guy" for over 25 years and I still struggle with web stuff sometimes :bang head:

Thanks for all you do on this site!!!
