Pinchflat and I went down to his Uncle's to check out the plane he is building in his basement and to go fly out at the private field he keeps his other plane at.We threw 4 planes and 2 helicopters in the back & cab of my truck and headed out. I tell you what, his Uncle does some nice work. He's got a little over a year on this one and is assembling it in his small basement. All I can say is wow. I thought I would share a few pics. Had a lot of fun. Ended up nosing the T-28 in pretty good trying to hand launch it myself, ended up bending the horizontal. Also, before we left my house, I opened the battery tray up a little so I could fit the 3S 4000mah that I bought for the apprentice. Although she didn't have the nice unlimited climb-out as it does with the 4s-2200, it got around rather well and I am more than pleased with the longer flight time. The weight did increase by 4 ounces, but didn't seem to mind it and it balanced nicely. Most importantly, the lipo stayed much cooler as it was a 30c instead of the 20c of the 4S. Now I just have to get 3 more 3S-4000's  Pinchflat got out his new Edge RC OverLord flying wing. I'll let him fill you in about it when he gets back online.

This is the same Uncle that finished his late brother's experimental Bi-plane after he was killed flying another kit plane.

I CA'd (2) carbon spars across the bottom of the horizontal. I think it should hold just fine, as I just overlapped them in the center. These spars came off of the (2)horizontals on the Apprentice.

The "Overloard" wing is built and I have about 4 hours on is as of now. Here are the specs. AUW 19.3oz, WS 48", Motor Grayson Hobbys Micro Jet V3, Prop 6x3(stryker or APC). Radio AR500, Servos S75, Battery Parkzone 1300 3s. It took alot of fiddling with the radio and a gyro in the pitch axis to make it enjoyable to fly. My servos are too small to fly at WOT. They just can't move the ailerons at those speeds. The plane has unlimited vertical and I have thermaled it too. Yesterday I flew for 25min and when I landed the battery was showing 3.78v per cell! I like to run the motor for 10 sec then just glide around for about 3 min at a time.

WOW 3.78 per cell means you had PLENTY time left, at that same rate of use another 15 minutes to be sure.
