Thanks for the link to the pictures. I heard about the scheduled Mustang flyby but hadn't found pictures yet. Thanks for sharing!
I'm sure Jack Rousch enjoyed seeing his 'Stang above him. That looks like the Skyraider the Tennessee Aviation Museum had restored, they brought it in last year first of September.
The shot of the B-17 being escorted by the two Mustangs is a great shot!

This is the B-17 they used in the move 'Memphis Belle", as the "Memphis Belle".

As I suspected, the best I can tell (tail letters "TC") this is the Skyraider from the Tennessee Aviation Museum. I had a chance to see its first landing at the airport there last fall, but didn't have the time to wait for it due to holdups with weather between there and Colorado where it was restored.
Follow the link for the details on the aircraft's history.

F15's (see note below)
AT-6 TEXAN did not see a Texan in the photos. Saw an Avenger though and that was sort of addressed.
DC-3 (C-47 due to being in military colors) ADDRESSED
A-1 Sky Raider..???? ADDRESSED
B-17 Fortress ADDRESSED
P51 mustangs.. ADDRESSED
Can't see the tail letters on the F-15s, but if they had the letters SJ they are based out of Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC.

Oops. I goofed on this one. I told liquid1 the C-47 was a DC-3. Forgot the DC-3 is typically the civilian designation and the C-47 is military.
Thanks for the link. Cool to read the history and see the other info.
Cheers,

WOW, You guys ROCK!!!..Thanks a heap, Glad to see ya in here phantomphan aka my awesome rc pilot trainer..:clapping:
I feel fortunate to have gotten the shots. Honestly the planes just appeared all the sudden once I seen what they were me and my wife scrambled for her Nikon D80 SLR using 70mm-300mm lens and went to clicking:thumbsup:..
The army golden nights wow them guys Dropped in at seemed to be 60 mph or better up till 15 feet they were fast and furius with pin point accurency.
I also have some land base maneuvers if anyone would like me to get a link up
They blew up a terriost truck and captured them. This year was the best Pre military excercise I have seen bringing in all the old planes and sky jumpers in tribute to the fallen service men and women..Thanks folks for looking up the history and providing links..Bunch of good and smart folks in this fourm.. :clapping:

Thanks for correcting. I didn't pay close enough attention and thought the light blue was for an Avenger. How silly of me!
