Nice video, that thing moves out! Anyone ever hit the water tower. It looks close.

 yeah that tower has been hit three times plus a few close calls. Thou in all fairness the field is relatively new, in its 4th year, and I think the last hit was about two years ago.

Believe it or not I love that tower as its one heck of a field marshall. Rare to have anyone accidently flying over the flightline in that area.

Great video I enjoyed it.

The Raptor is a great flyer, very stable yet nimble.

Curious > Do you still have the droops on?

You seem quite comfortable with the Raptor dropped in some hammerheads, inverted flight and some great fun fly-byes at speed. Gentleman at my airfield has this same plane but refuses to remove the droops because it flies so well he doesn't want to mess it up. I'd be tearing those things off in a hurry after familiarity with the plane I bet tracking and rolls would be even more awesome with a clean Leading Edge. May be a little touchier on landing and twitchier in the air.

Nice video, nice flying!

We need a Water Tower.

Thanks Wayne.
I actually never flew the Raptor with the droops installed so I cant comment on that difference. But I did make my flaps fully functional (option) and it makes for some easy landings as it really slows and stabilizes the plane. Flaps up (off), shes fast and goes right where your tell her.

I think the Raptor is a fun machine and its capable of a lot of maneuvers. I cut a lot of the video, from the the two flights I recorded, to keep the vid short. Like, I cut out the rolling circle bit because I thought it would make some people motion sick. I tried to just leave the stuff that I thought would be fun to watch.

Cheers.

The Raptor sure looks better in actual flight compared to FSone. It's hard to get that plane to wake up on there.

I guess the FSone has it in PTS mode; droops and flaps locked down with an engine on the small side?

Yeah she's a bit piggy with the smaller engines and stock prop. Man at my airfield ended up doing what phantomphan did and dropped in a larger engine and swapped out the trainer prop for a more rigid APC.

Hey guys.
Went flying this past weekend with a friend that a has a gray Raptor. Even thou the day was wet and overcast we still had a great time and even played a little bit of 'follow the leader' to see if I could get some air-to-air video just for the fun of it. Check it out.
