I've been in love with these planes for a long time. I've noticed it's hard to find a good scale model of one that isn't way out of proportions.
The 2 good ones I know of:
Great Planes' R-2

Seagull Model's Z.

Anyone know of any others?
Here is the full size replica R-2 that Benjamin/Wolfe built. I have a funny story about this. I started doing some CAD drawings in High School the same time they started building it. He beat me too it ;) I never did finish my drawings, although mine was of the R-1 and not the R-2.

I've seen that one, although I'm not a fan of profile airframes. That could be nice as I was starting to like the E-Flite Extra on FSone, but I had noticed it's discontinued.
Full fuse:

Those are both nice. I bet the GP GB would be pricey converted to electric.

See now that's not a real Gee Bee. The larger version of the R-3 Fantasy Gee Bee is cool looking though (French designed?), also from Hobby Lobby.

I agree the conversion could get costly...the flat foam one flys great. A buddy at the park has it and its slows down to a crawl so if you have the area of 3 basket ball courts near your house you could fly her on 2s with ease...

Here's another, I'd like to see some underside shots. I think the landing gear is in the wrong spot and aren't long enough.

I have the Hobby Lobby Senior Sportster (http://www.hobby-lobby.com/minigeebee_7077_prd1.htm)
She flies very predictable and stable. I have it set up pretty conservative, so I'm not sure how responsive it could be.
My only minus so far is the wheel pants are very fragile. And to make it worse, the wheels have a tendency to bend outwards (reverse pigeon toe?) after 15 landings or so.
I really LOVE this plane. Great looks and a solid flyer.
No in-flight shots yet.
