For those of you near Havelock, NC, this coming Sunday September 13th starting at 7:00pm GBI Hobbies will be having an Indoor Fun Fly at the Havelock Rec Center. The Rec Center is located Just past Roger Bell Elementary Shcool on Hwy 101.

This will be a good chance to fly your embers, vapors, MCX, MSR, CX and CP's along with foamy planes of all kinds.

Plans are to hold this on the second Sunday of the month.

Come out and see what going on with indoor flying!

John can this place handle a Power15 enhanced T-28D or is it rather tight? What are the approximate dimensions.

Do you get a lot of helicopters at the indoor fun-fly events, seems fitting?

I would imagine if ATIS is not tied up he will be sporting the new mini-SU26.

Look forward to hearing what you can accomadate and the results of the fly!

We'll be flying on a basketball court. T28 probably would be a bit too much. Hope to see the ParkZone Sukoi's as well as the Cessna's. :)

I am going to try an make it... it wil depend on my energy level as I have a soccer game at 9am Saturday and another one at 2:30pm in Moorehead. My team is less then stellar and I have had an easier time teaching my cats to square dance. Practice tonight left me mad and took a few years off my life span.

Yeah I was trying to be more funny than anything about the T-28. Sounds like fun though for the smaller aircrafts.

What type of turnout do you usually see?

The event was great, GBI Hobbies had about 10 pilots show up and I shot a few video's. Here are the stills I took... not many as I was busy with the camcorder and crashing. LOL

And here I thought 4 to 5 planes in a couple hundred acres was a lot!!! Looks like fun and learning was abound for everyone.

The duelling SU-26's looked like good entertainment. Those little guys certainly do look like fun, especially come dead of winter here in MN if had an indoor site available. Although I have been spotted brooming off the tarmac during winter months...

Good show GBI Hobbies glad your first indoor fun-fly was a success.

The first 3D flat foam was some great flying, second video loading right now, slow connection...

You guys have a talented bunch there!

:clapping: VERY awesome Bi-Plane piloting as well.

I repeat VERY talented bunch of pilots there. Good job all and of course the flawless camera work doesn't hurt either.

What happened to the Bi-Plane at the end? Looked like he was attempting a second loop and then stalled and straight down she came. Any damage, sure looks like a fragile machine? I am guessing the pilot noting the proximity of spectators chose it wiser to let her come down rather then try to save her and in a split second of disorientation could have hit someone.

Great job GBI and guests.

You were contributing to his growth as a phenomenal pilot, nothing wrong there! What were you flying that night Nunny?

I have never had much interest in small indoor aircraft but after seeing some of these helicopter and small indoor QUALITY airplane stuff I am having second thoughts.

Yeah you're on video with the JUKA. Putting aside the inverted landing at the end  you did some real nice flying. I have never flown a flat foam plane before, interest always waned as they only look like an airplane from the side. However I am turning the corner and may jump in one day.

The flying of the JUKA was awesome, nice hovering and control.
