After flying today the battery was warm. The battery seemed very slightly puffy. Maybe a 1/32 on each side. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

warm or HOT... if warm it will shrink again... HOT is bad.

Are you still using the stock in Kit charger? I have heard of some poeple having problems with this charger and blamed battery failures on the charger not shutting off properly and overcharging the batteries or not balancing them properly so when they hit LVC one cell was WAY under the threshold 3.0V. HobbyZone made a good pitch to me one day of this fact, I hope they weren't just trying to sell product if so it worked.

No, I'm using a descent charger. The battery is warm, not hot and it does shrink when it cools off.

Well ATIS has much experience here so if he's cool with it I'd be cool with it. If the condition of it changes let us know, it'd be good to know.

Never have had one puff yet but I am running my 4S Rhino 2150 mAH batteries at 87% of their rated 'C' discharge rate. These batteries come out pretty warm if you are stomping it. I'd guesstimate they are coming out somewhere between 105-115. They aren't luke warm but I don't feel they are getting extreme. They are charging better now than when new, balancing out nicely at 4.20 each cell no prob. Do note if I run them down close to LVC the cells are all over the place and not even close to balanced however if I get off the go pedal and land with half the juice left they are perfectly balanced.... So should probably get off the go stick and give up a bt early but man I LOVE TO FLY! Still trying to poke that hole in the sky!

Any thought?

I had 1 swell till it could roll...actually my buddy Brent H (Corsair Nut on RCG) did it to my lipo flying my T-34 at SEFF. I have puffed a couple of lipos pushing them too hard. When you lipo is HOT and looks like it ate another lipo its time to find a safe fire proof place to put it!!
