Winds West 35mph gusting to 42 mph right now! Was thinking of taking out the Apprentice just to be able to put it in the Flight Log, but for sure there is a better than good chance my landing would not be very soft.

Besides you'd need 2/3rd to 3/4 throttle just to keep up with a 42mph wind!

Maybe next time....

This morning was calm, but way too windy here now.

Yeah it sucks waiting on the wind to cooperate. I've been waiting over a week to maiden my highly anticipated PZ Sukhoi. By the time I got the plane balanced and the D6xi programmed, it was too dark. Then it rained everyday since then. Now the wind is up again. I'm used to my slimers that can handle winds I am comfortable flying. What stinks worse is the local park is right out the backdoor of my apartment calling me.

Very true the heavier gassers are more forgiving in the wind with their additional mass.

However once you become more competent winds up to 15 mph are totally negotiable with most good quality foam planes. In addition, for park flying Gassers within the AMA Park Flyer guidelines all are strictly prohibited.

Did you try it :happy bounce: I have to limit myself to about 5 mph. It's just to dang risky to land on the road with obstacles around.

No I did not try it. You going to jump in and start a Flight Log Ken?

This sure would've been a doozey to put in the log but I figured I've been doing enough darn rebuilding and fixing lately so I did not need anything else to do.
