http://www.horizonrcflyers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1524&d=1254453244

The BCPP2 comes neatly and securely packaged. The box is very reusable as a flight box.

Whats in the Box:

(1) High-power 370 main, direct-drive N60 tail
(1) HP6DSM 6-channel transmitter with full range Spektrum™ 2.4GHz DSM2™
(1) AR6100 Microlite receiver (installed)
(1) 2-in-1 contol unit (installed)
(1) sG110 micro heading lock gyro (installed)
(3) DS75H digital sub-micro servos (installed)
(1) E-Flite 3S 11.1V 800mAh Li-Po battery
(1) DC Li-Po balancing charger
(1) Bind plug

Whats not in the Box:
Ready To Fly

The Build:
Ready To Fly

Preflight:
Charge the Lipo, put the AA batteries in the TX and your good to go.

REPORT CARD:

Good (All of these are upgrades from the BCPP):

2.4GHz DSM2
Throttle Hold switch on TX
Adjustable Throttle curve on TX
Hi & Low Rates
Upgraded Main Motor with Replaceable Brushes
Direct Drive Tail Motor
sG110 micro heading lock gyro

Bad:

Servos are still held in by tape and zip ties.
Plastic Head is not as nice as my MicroHeli aluminum head on my BCPP, performance wise.

FLIGHT REPORT:

Maiden:
Flew it in the garage. I'm not a great heli pilot, but after a few short hops I could tail it in fairly descent.

Report Card:

ROG: 0'
Glide: You pray this never happens.
Rolls: N/A at this time
Loops: N/A at this time
Inverted: N/A at this time
Speed: N/A at this time
Landing: Pretty standard for a BCP
Beginner: Not unless you can afford $30 crashes.
Best analogy: Flying a RC Heli is like trying to balance a tennis ball on the back of your hand.

My dad tried R/C Helis (nitro) about 15-20 years ago. His analogy was: Trying to roller skate on top of a basketball.

I've heard if you can fly a BCP, you can fly just about anything. Not sure how true that statement is though.

bigger heli's are "suppose" to be easier to learn on but the cost really keeps them out of reach. Nice review Travis!! Happy to hear your having fun with her.

I bought the BCPP2, second hand, with the intent to do this review and then to upgrade my modified BCPP. In order to do that, I had to fix the BCPP2, due to the errors from the previous owner. Tonight I started the disassembly to make a modified BCPP2 and then to down grade the BCPP2 to a BCPP. Well so far this is all that I've accomplished.

I'm done for the night, I need (2) new tail booms and one stock main frame.

I've been busy so I haven't returned to the mess of two Helis. I have them all wired up but couldn't figure out why the "now pro" wasn't operating right. Well, I just found out why, just found out the pro 2 comes with digital servos. I had left the servos, figuring they HH didn't change them. I was wrong. Should be getting these 2 helis up and going this morning. I thought I would share my little issue during the conversion. I guess it helps not to work on these late at night, like I have been ;)

Have I mentioned I hate taped on servos?

Finially I am done. My next issue was the shaft collar on the Pro2 was striped. I had to go to the LHS and pick up one. I had also picked up a new canopy on ebay, but didn't realize that it was a repaired canopy, as it was in the factory bag w/ tag. I guess I should read more when doing ebay. Anyway, I'm done besides doing the finial trimming and test flying. I'll be doing that tomorrow morning as we won some monster truck tickets and I'll be taking the boys and a neighbor kid.

If you notice the MicoHeli aluminum frame makes the Pro2 sit a little higher.

I look forward to hearing how she flies! Good work and yes I too hate taped on or rubber glue glued on servos...

I trimmed out the Pro yesterday evening. I changed a few things on the head.

I changed the linkage from this:

To this:
http://www.horizonrcflyers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1677&stc=1&d=1255997717

The dog bones have more clearance between the ball and the blade grip. So far, I don't see any bad tendencies or clearance issues.
