Hi, I still consider myself as a student rc flyer. I really want to thank all the new friends I've met at Creekside especially Brian my new buddy box buddy. If not for all their help, I'd still be on the ground, or in the repair shop putting planes together. Not much to tell about me. I'm retired from the D.O.D Police I was L. P. O (lead police officer) with the harbor patrol boats. A great job in the summer and very bad job in the winter. I spent three years in the Army one of them in Veit Nam. I was a crewchief on a UH-1B Huey. First group of Hueys to go there (1964). I have a pilot licence but I have not used it in years, and I still think it's easier to fly a real plane than my models. I retired in 2006 and I moved here in 2007 from New Hampshire. Can't take the cold and snow any more ( getting old ). Looking forward to meeting you all , Thank you, Earl H.

Earl a great big Welcome. Well you and I have very much in common;
We both appreciate ATIS's tutelage
We both love to fly, RC only for me. Can't afford real deal.
I grew up in New Hampshire, Derry/Plaistow/Salem areas and spent a small period of time also living in North Carolina as well. Moved back to NH and now have resided in Minnesota for the passed 17 years.
Welcome to HorizonRcFlyers and I look forward to hearing more about what you fly. Actually I think Brian has a picture of you holding your Apprentice, is that you?
If so how do you like that Apprentice, I have one GREAT plane. Read and re-read the Apprentice section under E-Flite Trainers there's a good bit of great info. there.

Earl,
Welcome!! It has been my pleasure helping you earn your electric RC wings!!
Wayne, that is indeed Earl... and it was his granddaughter that I "let" crash his Apprentice. LOL

Greetings to my fellow gravity teasers.
I've flown the Cox c/l models in the early '70s.
My friend got me started flying EP RC aircraft by getting us each a plane for X-mas 2005.
I fly ParkZone, HorizonHobby, and GreatPlains EP models.
My most recent addition to my bird farm is the newly released Park Zone Bf 109G PnP version. It's a very well designed and finely detailed flying model like my PZ T28 and F4u both of them being OEM stock except for aileron servos on the Corsair and all Rx and battery packs.
I also fly the GP Fokker D.VII. One in for repairs due to an ambush by a heavy concentration of gravity during its last patrol and one NIB.
I also have a PZ FW190 which I've repowered with a Park 480 and a 72 mHz Rx with two (2) HS55 servos. This plane flies well with the added power.
I love the convenience of EP which allows me to have at least one of my birds available for a lunch time sortie. No mess or smell or extraneous support gear to worry about.
I also post in the other popular forums
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you through your postings and hope that our mutual interest in enjoying this hobby will be beneficial to us all.

MaxHeadspeed Welcome home my friend. Your Hangar sounds like it's a fun one. I as well look forward to hearing your experiences and share with you some of the crazy stuff I do, such as the Power 15 put into a T-28 and spun with a 4S battery. That makes your T-28 do some crazy things, 3D no doubt!!!

Greetings to my fellow gravity teasers.
I've flown the Cox c/l models in the early '70s.
You will probably find that a lot of us flew the plastic Cox control line models in the early 70s. I look at pictures of the E-Flite PT-19 and it takes me back to many dizzying flights with those little .049 engines.
I just started flying r/c this year. I definitely find that flying is a blast.
I just feel like a kid in a candy store. So much to choose from and I only have one quarter. Plus I have a wife who reminds me that there is only a limited amount of space to store the planes. So I can't have too many.
So next year do I get a slightly more aerobatic sport flyer (Eratix or EFlite Pulse XT25e or do I get something scale and balsa/covered like a PT-19, or a biplane?
This is such a tough hobby
