Found this little kitchen timer in the super market today.
It will count up or down.
The countdown timer has an alarm. Tap a button to turn it off. If you tap the minute button, it will act like a one minute snooze bar.
Hot glued a piece of velcro to the front of the DX5e and the back of the timer.
nice mod... a guy at the field has one and when ever it goes off we tell him his "cookies are done". LOL :)

That's funny!
I always fly with an egg timer. I get them at the dollar store. Simple but effective.

I've gotten addicted to the Dx6i's built-in timer. I have mine programmed to the trainer switch. While flying with my dad we would would use the timers on our watches, since we spotted for each other. Flying glow at the time so you kind of knew when you had to land...

Yes, I'm looking forward to having a built-in timer on the DX7 that I ordered...that's one of the ways I justified the upgrade from my DX6. That and dual-rates+expo for the rudder channel (tired of oversensitive nosewheel steering). And trim that works with the mixes, so I won't need servo-reversing Y-cables. Any day now...
I like the 3 position flaps switch...no flaps, take off flaps (1/2 flaps) and landing flaps (full flaps)
