Now that's a heck of a quote coming from someone who just looked death in the eye! Pretty amazing nobody was seriously injured.

They just interviewed him on the local news (Fox2 here in stl). He seemed almost nonchilant about it. Says alot about how well that old bird was built.
More amazing is where he put it down. Meer feet from a cycling path and only a few dozen yards from a major interstate.

Looks a lot like my Eflite Stearman. I finished it on Saturday and totaled it on Sunday. I feel bad for this guy, but now I don't feel bad.

Oops, sorry to hear about BOTH of the crashes! I wonder if he can re-build. I use to fly a Stearman 25 years ago and if I remember correctly if one of the spars are damaged bad enough it's a write-off.
