Even though I don't have any pictures to post of my field in Sherwood, AR, everyone can pull them up at Hendersonrc.com and then look at the pictures.

We fly everything RC out there (except jets). I think it is the best field in Arkansas - but I'm biased::tonguee:

Nice area Bassfisher. How many members do you guys have? What does your $100.00 membership buy? Do the members share duties of mowing your strip? Approximately how many acres do you have for fly-over property?

I looked at a satellite image and your place is nice. What is that to your North, looks like a Dirtbike Track? Also the image I found showed what appeared to be crop circles in the middle of the field, have some visitors lately?

Wish I could link or post the satellite image but my computer voodoo is not strong. By the time I figure it out your airfield will have shot a bird's eye view from an airplane and posted it so I'll wait for that.

HAHAHHAHA that's awesome. Now is it possible if Bassfisher can not confirm a resident on that tree that was a plane flying at time of satellite photo shot? I would assume it is possible, interesting if that is indeed how it went down! No pun intended there.

Well, for the satallite photo, the area to the right of our clubhouse is for horses. And the big tree to the west is actually pretty far away and I cannot remember is any planes have every hit it. Most of us use it our turning point when landing south to north. We've actually had more planes hit the trees in the treeline to the south end of the runway.

Yes, to the north is a motorcycle track, and the blue under the big tree is part of thier junk, not a plane!

We have about 35- 40 members every year, host an average of three fun-flys, and fly almost everyweek (weather permiting). The google picture does not do the field justice, but the website pics really do show it off. We also have an agreement with the MC track that when they have a scheduled race, we don't fly (good neighbors). As for grass cutting, over the years we've hired a lawn cutting service, but for next year, our VP wis cutting it for us at a reduced rate.

We have approx 3 acres of runway and pit area and overfly 10 acres of clearcut field (That I usually bush-hog about three times a year). To the west of the field is a pretty good size swamp, but usually it is out of play unless a plane goes in there.
